I help creative storytellers get accepted to film school.
With degress from USC and Columbia, and having worked as a producer, educator, and admissions reader, I understand the process from both sides.
The best film schools accept less than 5% of undergraduate applicants. To compete at this level, it’s not a matter of having made short films and good grades. You are competing with storytellers from around the world, with varying points of view and life experiences. The faculty members who evaluate your application are considering a comprehensive criteria that goes beyond cinephilia or technical proficiency. They’re looking for emerging storytellers with a distinct point of view, emotional maturity, and sophisticated sensibilities. Students who can show them who they are, what they care about, and why they have stories worth telling.
It is my passion to help you discover what makes you distinctive and translate that into a compelling application. From essays and creative portfolios to films, scripts, résumés, and school-specific materials, I provide individualized guidance throughout the process while making sure the work - and the voice behind it - remains yours.
